Whet Restaurant Cape Tribulation

Whet is Cape Trib's newest social venue. A cool wine bar & outdoor deck dining area for coffee, wine, tapas, cocktails & contemporary fare. It’s not quite what you’d expect to find in the Daintree but that’s one of the reasons it works.

With Whet it’s a simple formula: an emphasis on local produce, seafood hauled from the surrounding waters, fresh, clean flavours and a menu that oozes creative flare

Lunchtime at Whet brings the beach-goers & day-trippers together for a fantastic selection of light & easy meals. To really let you know you’re escaping the rat-race, enjoy lunch with a glass of wine from the classy yet not over the top wine list, or a schooner of the coldest beer in town.

Features

2008 has seen Whet evolve to include a 24 seat cinema to their repertoire of groovy settings. Located upstairs from the restaurant, it screens the latest flicks (before their DVD release) in both style and comfort. Licensed, air-conditioned and designed with fantastic huge beanbags, recliners and leather sofas, it gels well with the feel of the restaurant. It’s a great way to finish the evening or to enjoy a day of rainy, steamy rainforest weather.

Vegetarians & Gluten Free customers are also well catered for with menus available for both. A rare find in any restaurant
